Support Our Pubs

Gregory Stafford MP has launched his campaign to support our local hospitality businesses across Surrey and Hampshire as they brace for Labour's fiscal changes coming into force from April 2025.

He recently held a roundtable with the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII), where local publicans voiced their significant concerns for the future of the British pub.

As a part of this campaign, he has opened a special survey for people to indicate their support for a range of financial measures set out by the BII. You can find this survey below.

Which of these measures would you support for our hospitality industry?
Cut VAT to 10% on food and non-alcoholic drinks sold in or by hospitality businesses
Reverse the decision to cut business rate relief from 75% to 40%, until the rates system is wholly reformed in 2026 as set out by Government in the budget
Reverse the increase on Employers' National Insurance contributions for hospitality businesses
Increase the threshold that employers start paying Employers NI back to £9200 from the current level of £5000
