"I have been in contact with Hampshire Constabulary and Police and Crime Commissioner this morning regarding the incident involving the cash point at the Sainsbury’s Local on Headley Road, Grayshott.
The force has informed me that the incident occurred at around 3.15am, with perpetrators using a stolen JCB vehicle from a nearby location, the owner of which is aware and in communication with the police.
I know that this type of activity causes concern for Grayshott residents and surrounding areas, and I will be maintaining contact with Hampshire Police going forward as their investigation continues.
As the neighbouring force, Surrey Police are also aware and will be running patrols and liaising with relevant local stakeholders on the wider matter.
While the investigation for this particular incident is ongoing, I intend to raise the issue of criminal activity at my next regular meeting with both forces in due course.
I encourage any residents that may have seen any of the vehicles or individuals involved to call Hampshire Police on 101 quoting 44240386486."
