"I am shocked to hear that a number of charity shops in Farnham have been targeted overnight and broken into.
I have been in contact with Surrey Police today and have been advised they are launching an investigation; as this is ongoing they will release further information in due course but I will be following their enquiries closely to monitor the situation.
The staff and volunteers that operate these outlets for charities do vital work to support important causes for communities both here and around the country. I commend them for their continued dedication and hope with the support of the police in the coming days that all the shops involved will soon be back to normal business."
